SUMMARY:Ensuring Fair Elections in 2026: A Call to Action for Lawyers
DESCRIPTION:The fast-approaching midterm elections are facing unprecedented pressure\, including challenges from the highest levels of government\, harassment of election officials\, and unproven claims of fraud. These tactics threaten to discourage eligible voters from participating. \nLawyers and law students are uniquely positioned to help\, and no election law experience is necessary. Volunteers are needed for opportunities — such as those listed on the NYC Bar’s Election Protection page — in New York City and throughout the country\, including in states where poll workers are being particularly challenged. Help will be needed before\, during\, and after the midterm elections. \nJoin us for a virtual conversation with leading election law experts who will describe the nature of the threats and the opportunities available to help ensure our elections remain free and fair. \nREGISTER NOW\n\nWhen: September 22\, 2026 | 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.\nFormat: Webcast\nThere is no fee for this program.
